No. All core features are free. A premium tier is available for users who want more transcription and summarization hours as well as additional topics.

Can I record without the app open?
Yes. The Notetaker works independently. It syncs with the app whenever you're connected.
Are Al transcription and summaries automatic?
No. You choose which recordings to transcribe and summarize, giving you full control of usage and privacy.

Audio is stored on your personal device to support end-to-end encryption.
When AI features are used, your audio is securely transmitted to a trusted third-party AI service provider for processing and deleted, however, an encrypted copy of your recording's text summary and transcript are stored.
