What’s in the filter?
The filter is built using a standard 3-step process using PP cotton, activated carbon, and UF membrane filaments.
- Polypropylene PP cotton to remove larger, 5 micron, water impurities such as rust, microbes, bacteria, and chlorine
- Activated Carbon made from coconut-shells remove residual chlorine
- UF Ultrafiltration Membrane filters impurities down to 0.01 microns
What is Ultrafiltration?
A cutting-edge membrane filtration technique that harnesses hydrostatic pressure to propel a liquid through a semi-permeable membrane. This innovative process selectively captures suspended solids and high molecular weight solutes, effectively separating them, while allowing water and low molecular weight solutes to effortlessly permeate through the membrane.
How often do I need to replace the filter?
On average the filters should be replaced every 3 months. In locations with known high mineral and deposit concentrations filters should be replaced every 2 months.
